Project Marks

Here are your group's marks for the Graciousness Project. The break down is as follows:
Posters (/30) + Blog (/30) + Video (/30) = TOTAL /90

Melinda's group: 23+22+20 = 65 (72%)
Pat's group: 25+13+16 = 54 (60%)
Nana's group: 12+20+20 = 52 (58%)
Rishi's group: 9+13+20 = 42 (47%)
Afiqah's group: 22+18+0 = 40 (44%)
Lily's group: 24+13+0 = 37 (41%)
Claudius' group: 0+11+13 = 24 (26%)
Rina's group: 22+0+0 = 22 (24%)

This was a good chance to catch up on marks for CA2 (see Melinda's group) but you have decided to not use it wisely. Instead, this will pull down a lot of your grades.

Speak to me if you still want to catch up by editing your blogs and submitting your posters as well as videos.

Grades and such

Thanks dindindo and Melinda's group! I have received and graded your posters. I am itching to give the rest of you zeroes, but before I do, I hope you'll read this post carefully.

I spent some time tabulating your CA1, SA1 and CA2 marks, and calculated what grades each of you need to score for the rest of this year (daily work and exams) in order to pass EL. Take note that this is the BARE minimum!

Name: % needed to pass
Nelly: 52
Nisa: 58
Rina: 52
Crystal: 51
Jing Lin: 52
Yuehao: 55
Kelvin: 54
Kai Wen: 64
Ashraf: 61
Din: 63
Rishi: 70
Yao Hui: 59
Kenneath: 60
Sumet: 61
Vivern: 68
Kai Jie: 74

If your name is not listed, a 50% for the rest of the year is pretty safe :) Drop me an email if you want to know how much you need to score to get your dream grade.

A large portion of Term 4 CA is on the Graciousness Project, which I am currently still inclined to be generous for, as long as effort is evident. Don't waste your opportunity to catch up on those grades!

Remember, it is still not too late to remedy whatever may have caused you to score poorly earlier on in the year. Reflect on what could've been done better and look forward to improving in the last term! I will be conducting remedials in Term 4, and will be glad to make time for consultations for those who ask.

It will be a busy term ahead, but it will just be a few weeks' effort for a hopefully lasting improvement to this very important subject!

Your EL teacher,
MS Mandy

Extension

Because the relief did not go according to plan, I have extended the blog deadlines till Monday evening.

I have also yet to receive any posters. I was expecting to see them in my box when I went back to school yesterday.

What happened?

I have no time and will make no time in Term 4 to mark any more Graciousness Projects (other than the video). Term 3 CA was rushed enough and I refuse to reschedule any more of my time just because you guys procrastinate.

Your CA marks should be more important to you than they are to me.

Hi 3/3!

Please spend this EL lesson reading your classmates' blogs and commenting on 2 of their projects. Also, please catch up on your backlog of posts. Remember, your grades will be a GROUP GRADE, counted as a significant portion of your Term 4 CA. You should each have completed your total of TWO posts by today. I think Lily is the only one who has 2 posts to her name so far (thanks :)).

By the end of today, I will be grading your group blogs based on the rubrics given to you a few weeks back. I will post your results on this page, so do come back!

During the September holidays, I will also be grading your posters (due today!) and your EL files. Term 4 is going to zoom by with A LOT of work so please use this holiday wisely to clear all the work you owe me. We'll start Term 4 with writing a report on your group project. (This should be homework, but I want to go through the format with you first)

Because I'm kind enough to only give you the video as homework this holiday, IT HAD BETTER BE UP ON YOUR BLOGS BY 14th SEPT! I will also not hesitate to call you incessantly during the hols to come back to school to submit your work, so I guess I'll hear some of you soon!

Have a fruitful EL lesson without me!
Ms Mandy (No silent letters)
